Description: Among all the legends and teachings of ancient Chinese culture, and after passing them through the strainer of fables and realities, we were left with topics such as Philosophy and Moral Ethics, as well as with the exercises developed through hundreds of years of practice and experiences to strengthen health, knowledge of ancient Chinese Medicine with proven and proven facts about its benefits, and the practice of its Martial Arts as self-defense and a form of personal development and philosophy of life.
Grand Master Liu Mingji was part of the elite of those great Masters who delved into the real aspects, discarding anything that could not be tested and proven. His grandson, Master Liu Wenyue, in addition to his close relationship with Taoist methods, also studied and practiced other methods or styles such as; Shaolin North (Buddhist), Cha Quan (Sufista) or Tanglang Quan, who practice both Buddhists and Taoists.
Therefore, the Liujia Quan style or method that my Master received from his grandfather, today also contains other routines already lost in oblivion, with foundations and theoretical, practical and philosophical elements both Taoist and Buddhist, and even with some of the value and the pride that the brave Hui have always shown. Therefore, it contains the essence of ancient Chinese knowledge for the health, self-defense or moral and ethical development of each person. To do this, Master Liu combines all the aspects he learned and combines them with his many years of experience, focusing on each other’s ability to learn, thus achieving fast and effective results.
I learned this style from Master Liu Wenyue with whom I have been studying since 1996. The relationship I have with him has long since ceased to be the teacher-student relationship and became as close as the father-son. That’s why I’m proud to present you with this book on Boxing from the Liu family in Qingdao, Shandong, China.
Enjoy and learn!
